Agile Underwriting Solutions Inc. in Dartmouth, NS is seeking a Senior Commercial Underwriter for a permanent full-time hybrid/remote role across Atlantic Canada.

You will write new commercial P&C business, manage renewals, and grow the portfolio while ensuring profitability and quick response times. The role requires 5+ years of P&C underwriting experience, MGA exposure is a plus, and CIP/CAIB/CRM or active pursuit is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience as a property/casualty underwriter.
• Experience working for an MGA is an asset.
• Completion of CIP/CAIB/CRM or working towards it.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem solving.

Agile Underwriting Solutions (Agile) has an exciting opportunity for a permanent, full-time Senior Commercial Underwriter. This is ahybrid position based out of our Dartmouth, NS of fice, however, we are also open to fully remote candidates located across Atlantic Canada. We are seeking candidates with commercial property and casualty underwriting experience.

The opportunity:

The Senior Commercial Underwriterwill develop and grow the business by writing new business, managing a renewal portfolio and bringing existing products across Canada while maintaining profitability, and delivering exceptional response times.

In this role you will:

• Property & casualtyproduction underwriting
• Underwriting basic to moderately complex books of commercial property and casualty products, coverage, pricing, production and delivery, risk management and managing local brokerage plans
• Quoting and underwriting new business as presented by a broker's office
• Underwriting and negotiating renewals
• Achieving assigned monthly production goals
• Ensuring customer service standards are met
• Applying underwriting guidelines

• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience as a property/casualty underwriter
