Job summary

GHD in Canada is seeking a Senior Tunnel Engineer to lead design and delivery of large-diameter tunnel projects with emphasis on safety, quality, and collaboration.

This role offers hybrid work across GTA offices with in-office days, and requires strong geotechnical software experience. You will mentor staff, prepare reports, and contribute to proposals while coordinating with Rail and Transportation teams.

Qualifications

• University graduate in geotechnical, geological or civil engineering; Master’s degree is an asset.
• Professional status (P.Eng or working towards it) is essential.
• Minimum 8 years of tunnel/underground project experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of large-diameter tunnel projects.
• Analyse tunnel liners, shaft design and geotechnical data; use modelling tools.
• Prepare tunnel reports and contribute to proposals and client meetings.
• Collaborate with Rail & Transportation teams and support cross-Canada projects.
