Job summary

Government of Yukon is seeking a Project Manager within the Transportation Planning Branch to lead high-impact initiatives improving Yukon transportation services and operations. You will manage projects from concept to evaluation, coordinating with senior leadership and stakeholders to deliver measurable results.

The role requires strong PM experience, business case development, and the ability to drive change in a public-sector setting.

Qualifications

Post-secondary education in business administration, public administration, project management, engineering, planning, information technology, or a related field.
Significant experience leading complex projects from initiation through implementation; formal PM training or frameworks.
Experience developing business cases, project plans, budgets, risk assessments, and performance measures.
Experience leading organizational change initiatives and engaging stakeholders in project delivery.
Experience preparing reports, presentations, briefing materials, and recommendations for senior management.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification will be considered an asset.
Experience leading transportation and/or emergency management initiatives in a public-sector environment will be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Lead high-impact initiatives that improve transportation services and operational efficiency.
Oversee projects from concept through implementation and evaluation.
Coordinate with senior leadership to align projects with government priorities and funding.
Develop and manage project plans, budgets, risk assessments, and performance metrics.
Engage stakeholders and drive organizational change within the department.
