The role requires 7+ years in transmission line design, a degree in engineering, OIQ membership, and strong software and communication skills. Hybrid work arrangement and career growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in transmission line design.
• Proficiency in specialized software.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Bilingualism (French/English).

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze overhead and underground transmission lines (structures, conductors, foundations).
• Conduct mechanical and electrical load studies according to applicable standards (CSA, IEEE, NESC).
• Supervise and review plans, specifications, and technical documents.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, and environmental engineering teams.
• Provide site supervision and technical support during construction.
• Mentor and supervise junior engineers on the team.
• Participate in client and regulatory relations.

The Role

Our client, a recognized organization in the energy and electrical infrastructure sector, is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to strengthen its technical team. You will play a key role in the design, analysis, and execution of high-voltage transmission line projects, working with multidisciplinary teams.
