Job summary

Geosam Capital in Greater Montreal is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to lead design, analysis, and execution of high‑voltage transmission projects. You will supervise multidisciplinary teams and ensure adherence to CSA/IEEE/NESC standards.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering, is a member of OIQ, has 7+ years in transmission line design, and demonstrates strong communication and bilingual (French/English) abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in transmission line design.
• Proficiency in specialized software and strong communication skills.
• Bilingual (French/English).

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze overhead and underground transmission lines (structures, conductors, foundations).
• Conduct mechanical and electrical load studies according to CSA, IEEE, NESC.
• Supervise and review plans, specifications, and technical documents.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, and environmental teams.
• Provide site supervision and technical support during construction.
• Mentor and supervise junior engineers on the team.
• Participate in client and regulatory relations.

You will play a key role in the design, analysis, and execution of high-voltage transmission line projects, working with multidisciplinary teams.
