Job summary

BlackBerry’s QNX unit seeks a Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead the design, development, and verification of our Development Tools suite and the QNX Software Center. You will provide strategic direction, people leadership, and lifecycle oversight across teams handling mission‑critical embedded software tools.

You will guide cross‑functional collaboration, champion product quality, and drive innovation while ensuring alignment with ISO 26262 and ISO 21434 standards.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success leading engineering teams in a fast‑paced, product‑driven environment.
• Strong foundation in Safety (ISO 26262) and Security (ISO 21434) standards.
• Experience with embedded software development (C) or tools development (Java).

Responsibilities

• Lead a high‑performing engineering team with clear direction and development plans.
• Drive technical ownership of QNX IDE-based tools and device-side tooling.
• Oversee design reviews, testing strategies, and cross‑functional alignment with Product, Architecture, QA, and other teams.
