In this role, you will:

  1. Perform testing, acceptance, and maintenance of Victoria Class Submarine systems and equipment.
  2. Act as Test Director, leading multi-disciplinary teams during testing activities.
  3. Conduct troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and corrective maintenance.
  4. Develop solutions for complex issues, communicating technical details effectively.
  5. Lead small to medium teams and mentor other Test Specialists.
  6. Record defects and respond to program requirements dynamically.
  7. Draft and review test and lockout/tagout documentation.
  8. Identify risks and opportunities during testing.
  9. Perform other duties as required.

Ideal candidate:

  1. Possesses strong technical skills with post-secondary education in electrical engineering technology or equivalent experience.
  2. Is registered as an Applied Science Technologist (AScT) or Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T), or eligible within 12 months.
  3. Has 8+ years of relevant technical experience.
  4. Has marine, offshore, naval, or submarine experience, an asset.
  5. Knowledge in electrical systems, electronics, power distribution, submarine systems, fibre optics, and system testing.
  6. Excellent communication skills and computer proficiency.
  7. Eligible for Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance.
