EQ Bank is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a portfolio of strategic technology projects. You will oversee cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and drive delivery in a hybrid work model at our Toronto offices.

The role emphasizes infrastructure, cyber security, and digital transformation within Canada’s Challenger Bank. The ideal candidate has 6–10 years of multi-project delivery, PMP and Agile certifications are a strong plus, and experience in regulated financial services is highly

Qualifications

• At least 6-10 years’ experience managing multiple projects through full lifecycle.
• At least 5 years’ experience in regulated financial services or insurance.
• Infrastructure and information security project delivery is highly desirable.
• PM concepts: Waterfall, Iterative, Incremental and hybrid methodologies.
• People management/leadership and coaching/mentorship experience.
• PMP certification strongly preferred; Agile/Scrum/ITIL or Change Management certifications a major asset.
• Knowledge of SharePoint, Jira, Confluence and related tech platforms.
• Vendor management experience is a must; proven delivery in digital banking context.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple material projects of high to strategic importance through full life cycle.
• Act as a Trusted Advisor providing leadership and proactive guidance with transparent risk communication.
• Lead multi-function on-site, off-site and virtual project teams to overcome barriers.
• Lead detailed planning to define work, responsibilities and dependencies for on-time delivery.
• Manage finances and budgets; navigate financial processes for funding approval and cost discipline.
• Engage stakeholders and govern forums to ensure timely, transparent decisions.
• Facilitate meetings, document RAID items, and follow up on risks and actions.
• Complete project evaluations and metrics to assess benefits and performance indicators.
• Advise the PMO on methodology standards in a dynamic environment.
