Job summary

EY Calgary seeks a Manager or Senior Tax Staff to lead Tax Technology Transformation initiatives. You’ll bridge tax advisory with digital solutions, using Power Platform, Azure, Dataverse, and Fabric to modernize tax functions.

Collaborate with tax and finance stakeholders, design scalable workflows, and implement data governance and security practices within the Microsoft stack. A fast-paced, client-facing role with senior stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Strong background in tax with hands-on experience in tax advisory or tax function environments (corporate tax, provision, transfer pricing, or indirect tax).
• Bridge between tax and technology, delivering innovative, practical solutions.
• Expertise in Microsoft Power Platform, Azure services, and Microsoft Fabric.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end tax technology solutions across data management, provision and compliance processes, TP, and indirect tax.
• Build data pipelines, automate workflows, and embed controls and audit trails.
• Collaborate with tax and finance teams to translate business needs into scalable tech solutions.
• Utilize Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Lakehouse, Power BI) and SQL Server for data modeling and analytics.
• Manage tax data structures including trial balance and entity hierarchies.
• Engage with senior stakeholders and contribute to tax transformation initiatives.
• Apply Excel (Power Query, VBA) and SharePoint for workflow management.
• Utilize .NET/C# for customizations and cloud architecture best practices.
• Employ Python to enhance automation and analytics.
