Job summary

MNP is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Tax team, delivering customized tax strategies within a dynamic regulatory framework. You will prepare personal and corporate returns, coordinate with clients and government agencies, and mentor junior staff while driving compliance and efficiency.

The successful candidate has a commerce/business degree, CPA track progress, and 2–4 years of public accounting or tax experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in commerce or business administration (accounting or finance major preferred).
• CPA designation in progress or completed will be considered.
• 2–4 years of relevant public accounting or tax experience.
• Working knowledge of the Canadian Income Tax Act.

Responsibilities

• Complete tax engagements by computing taxes owed and preparing returns.
• Set up files for new clients and incorporated businesses.
• Provide proactive tax strategy recommendations and ensure compliance.
• Lead engagement teams and mentor junior staff.
• Collaborate with clients and government agencies on tax issues.
• Participate in business development initiatives and travel as needed.
