ABOUT THE ROLE
Plusgrade is seeking an experienced Senior Talent Management Partner to join our People team. In this pivotal role, you will align talent management strategies with business objectives to attract, develop, and retain top talent. As a trusted advisor, you will collaborate closely with leaders to identify key talent needs, implement employee development programs, and drive initiatives that foster performance, growth, and engagement. You will also tackle complex organizational challenges and provide innovative solutions that contribute to a high-performing and engaged work environment.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING :
- Strategic Consulting & Leadership Support: Collaborate closely with senior leadership to identify and overcome organizational challenges, driving proactive solutions that support a high-performance culture and align with business goals.
- Program Implementation & Organizational Effectiveness: Drive the implementation of talent management programs, including employee experience, onboarding/offboarding, learning and development, performance management, and compensation, ensuring alignment with business strategies to foster growth and innovation.
- Performance Management & Employee Engagement: Partner with business leaders to drive employee retention and engagement through the performance management cycle, ensuring effective development planning and continuous feedback processes.
- Organizational Change & Culture Building: Act as a change agent, leading and supporting organizational change initiatives while promoting a positive and engaging workplace culture.
- Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution: Navigate employee relations issues, providing support and guidance to both people leaders and employees, ensuring resolutions are reached with sensitivity and in accordance with company policies and employment laws.
- Coaching & Development for Front-line Leaders: Coach and develop front-line managers to effectively address employee relations issues, build high-performing teams, and ensure legal compliance.
- Talent Acquisition Partnership: Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to guide leaders on talent needs, from requisition to hiring, and optimize internal application processes to support business growth.
- Data-Driven Insights & Strategic Action: Leverage employee survey results, HR metrics, and data analysis to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and develop targeted people strategies that drive measurable organizational outcomes.
- HR Education & Policy Adherence: Educate employees and managers on HR policies and ensure consistent, fair, and compliant application across the organization.
- Trusted Advisor to Leadership: Serve as a key advisor to senior leaders, providing expertise on talent management practices, employee experience, and HR best practices to drive strategic decision-making.
- Collaboration Across the People Team: Partner with colleagues across the People team to enhance the employee experience, streamline processes, and drive organizational effectiveness.
- Continuous Learning & Industry Trends: Stay informed on the latest trends, best practices, and innovations in talent management, bringing fresh perspectives and strategies to the organization.
YOU ARE SOMEONE WITH :
- 5+ years of experience as a strategic HR Business Partner or in a similar HR role.
- A university degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred (CHRP is an asset).
- Applied knowledge of Canadian labor laws, with international experience and knowledge being an asset.
- International partnership experience to support business leaders in our global offices.
- Solid project management skills and effective time management/prioritization skills.
- Excellent relationship-building skills and a passion for customer service at all levels of leadership, employees, and peers locally and virtually.
- Experience in organizational development and change management.
- Resourceful and self-motivated, with the ability to work in changing environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to make data-driven decisions while drawing from previous experience.
- Experience coaching employees and management through complex issues.
