Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Halifax is seeking a systems engineer to support the Halifax Class Combat Systems Integration program. You will manage the DOORS repository, ensure traceability, and collaborate with test, engineering, software and quality teams to align with release and compliance goals.

The role covers requirements analysis, design reviews, system integration planning, and adherence to systems engineering processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 5+ years in related discipline.
• Knowledge of IBM Rational DOORS.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to translate complex requirements into documentation.
• Understanding of requirements engineering fundamentals (traceability, impact analysis, change control).
• Able to obtain NATO Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Act as the day to day steward of DOORS repository; create/modify requirement modules and enforce version control.
• Maintain traceability from inception to product release across requirements, design and test artifacts.
• Refine DOORS workflows/templates to align with global release and compliance objectives.
• Support Test Witnessing, Test Plans and Design Reviews.
• Contribute to system architecture/design and system integration planning.
• Follow systems engineering processes and best practices.
