Cloud9 Solutions is a rapidly growing Managed Services Provider that offers a broad range of IT Consulting, Managed IT, and Cloud services for organizations looking to source and implement IT solutions and IT services in their businesses or in the cloud. As such, they are looking to add a Senior Systems Engineer to the team.

The Senior Systems Engineer role will be tasked with being a top-level resource for executing projects for clients as well as an escalation point for other team members. They will also be responsible for preparing Statements of Work, project plans, account management, and executing various projects as the project lead.

This person will need to be very organized and be able to confidently deal with upper management, executive and decision-making contacts on both a technical and customer service level as this role will assume account management responsibilities for a number of clients.

The qualified candidate will have extensive experience in enterprise-level hardware and software including server, storage, and networking. These experiences will include planning, implementing, and maintaining. They will also have a vast knowledge in virtualization and high availability as well as disaster recovery and business continuity. This is a senior role in this organization and the expectation is to be a leader as well as a mentor to more junior team members.

What you will be doing?

1. Develop and deliver quarterly reviews, statements of work, and presentations to various audiences, including project team, CIO, and other key stakeholders.
2. Set and continually manage project and accounts expectations while delegating and managing deliverables with team members and stakeholders.
3. Understand interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs.
4. Demonstrate a functional acumen to support how solutions will address client goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practices.

Who are we looking for?

1. 2+ years of experience managing projects and team leadership. (Required)
2. 10 years of IT Engineering and Architecture Experience. (Required)
3. Networking experience including PaloAlto Networks, Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba.
4. Experience with advanced switching and routing technologies including SDWAN.
5. Microsoft 365 and Azure knowledge including implementation and migration.
6. Extensive experience in Virtualization technologies Nutanix, VMWare, HyperFlex, etc.
7. Candidates must live in Greater Vancouver area and are legally allowed to work for an employer in Canada. (Required)
