Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking a System Designer for our OSS Team, dedicated to key applications that enable our technology teams to interact with network devices. The Operations Support Systems (OSS) team develops applications to facilitate interaction with network devices, collaborating across Rogers to develop automated processes and systems for our network. As a System Designer, you will manage the administration and maintenance of provisioning, mediation, and billing systems in a dynamic environment.

What You Will Do

1. Support, configure, maintain, and upgrade provisioning, mediation, and billing systems.
2. Investigate logs and debug code to resolve issues.
3. Drive system improvements for reliability and maintainability, providing expert insights during solution design.
4. Automate workflows using scripting to streamline processes.
5. Compare vendor systems to select the best solutions, always considering customer needs.

What You Will Bring

1. Strong communication skills and team spirit.
2. A creative problem-solving mindset and customer focus.
3. Experience in a front-line or customer-facing role delivering excellent customer service.
4. Participation in rotational on-call schedules.
5. Experience with Red Hat Linux/Unix administration is a plus.
6. Knowledge of SOAP UI, IP Technology, bash/shell scripting.
7. Project delivery achievements.
8. Understanding of telecommunication networks.
9. Knowledge of ITIL, Remedy, ServiceNow, Jira/Confluence is advantageous.
10. Experience with Ericsson platforms, over-the-air platforms, and E-SIM technologies is beneficial but not mandatory.
11. Willingness to learn cloud services, microservices, Kubernetes, Kafka, Apache Spark, etc.
12. Educational background in computer science or related experience.
