Job Position: Senior Supervisor

Term: Full-time, permanent
Wage: $32.31/hour
Location: Markham, Ontario

Hub Climbing Markham is an indoor rock-climbing gym designed for climbers at every level, from kids who have never climbed before to expert climbers. Our Markham location is now seeking an experienced Supervisor to join our team on a full-time (30-40 hours per week), permanent basis. This position will own the following responsibilities:

Job Description/Duties:

1. Plan, develop, and organize policies and events for the climbing gym;
2. Supervise, train, and assess new and senior staff;
3. Develop interesting climbing routes of varying difficulty on a regular basis, always ensuring that our strict safety protocols are followed;
4. Coordinate special event planning for events hosted by the climbing gym;
5. Set the routes in our gym collaboratively with our existing team;
6. Test climbing routes at a high level and provide accurate feedback for the setting team;
7. Engage with our clients to ensure full satisfaction of their climbing experience;
8. Audit and resolve any facility issues that may arise;
9. Assist with our location in Mississauga as needed;
10. Coordinate with facility Directors and Managers for any issues that require their attention.

Your experience and background:

1. You have at least 3 years experience with Rock Gym Pro (RGP) software;
2. You have at least 2 years of management, supervisor, and route setting experience;
3. You have at least 1 year of coaching experience with adults and teenagers;
4. You can comfortably climb at a high level;
5. You can comfortably lift 60-80 lbs, as required.

In addition to the above, Cantonese language skills would be helpful to assist with our clientele.
