Job summary

WorleyCord in Canada is seeking a Senior Subcontracts Specialist to lead the subcontracting for major industrial construction projects. You will shape sourcing strategies, negotiate agreements, and partner with project teams to drive commercial success.

Role focuses on planning through execution, with opportunities to mentor others and influence project outcomes across WorleyCord's Canadian portfolio. Eligible for in-office Mon-Thu with flexible Friday locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in subcontract, procurement, or contract management.
• Exposure to major industrial construction or capital projects.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the subcontracting process for major industrial construction projects from planning to execution.
• Develop subcontracting and sourcing strategies with project teams.
• Lead RFQ/RFP processes, bid evaluations, negotiations, and contract awards.
• Create and manage scopes of work and commercial agreements with stakeholders.
• Identify, evaluate, and engage qualified subcontractors.
• Manage subcontract performance, changes, invoicing, claims, and closeout activities.
• Provide contract and commercial guidance to project teams.
• Build relationships with subcontractors, clients, and internal teams.
• Mentor team members and support continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Subcontracts Specialist, you'll lead the subcontracting process for major industrial construction projects, helping ensure commercial success from planning through execution.

You will:

• Develop subcontracting and sourcing strategies with project teams
• Lead RFQ/RFP processes, bid evaluations, negotiations, and contract awards
• Build strong scopes of work and commercial agreements with internal stakeholders
• Identify, evaluate, and engage qualified subcontractors
• Manage subcontract performance, changes, invoicing, claims, and closeout activitiesProvide contract and commercial guidance to project teams
• Build strong relationships with subcontractors, clients, and internal stakeholders
• Mentor team members and support continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

What We’re Looking For

We're interested in experienced procurement and commercial professionals who bring:

• 10+ years of subcontract, procurement, or contract management experience
• Experience supporting major industrial construction or capital projects
• Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and commercial skills
• The ability to influence stakeholders and manage competing priorities
• Excellent communication and organization skills
