Job summary

Worley in Canada is seeking a Senior Subcontracts Specialist to lead subcontracting for major industrial construction projects from planning through execution. You will develop sourcing strategies, run RFQ/RFP processes, and negotiate contracts with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of subcontract, procurement, or contract management experience.
• Experience supporting major industrial construction or capital projects.
• Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and commercial skills.
• The ability to influence stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the subcontracting process for major industrial construction projects from planning through execution.
• Develop subcontracting and sourcing strategies with project teams.
• Lead RFQ/RFP processes, bid evaluations, negotiations, and contract awards.
• Build strong scopes of work and commercial agreements with internal stakeholders.
• Identify, evaluate, and engage qualified subcontractors.
• Manage subcontract performance, changes, invoicing, claims, and closeout activities.
• Provide contract and commercial guidance to project teams.
• Build strong relationships with subcontractors, clients, and internal stakeholders.
• Mentor team members and support continuous improvement initiatives.

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Subcontracts Specialist to join and lead our Subcontracts team with Worley Construction Canada. This is a strategic role for a commercially minded professional who enjoys leading complex subcontracting packages, developing sourcing strategies, negotiating agreements, and partnering with project teams to drive successful project outcomes.

• Experience supporting major industrial construction or capital projects
• Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and commercial skills
• The ability to influence stakeholders and manage competing priorities
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Considered an asset:

• SCMP designation
• Relevant post-secondary education
