Job summary

CIMA+ in Canada is seeking a Senior Structural Technician in Rossland to design, inspect, and estimate structural systems for industrial projects. You will work under supervision, support interdisciplinary teams, and contribute to projects at various stages of the procurement cycle.

You will use CAD and REVIT, perform field measurements, ensure on-task delivery, and contribute to proposals and project schedules.

Qualifications

• Diploma in civil engineering technology or technologist program.
• 8+ years of experience in industrial structural design.
• Strong communication and multitasking abilities.
• Commitment to client service and excellence.

Job Description

Senior Structural Technician – Rossland, Canada. You will be responsible for designing, inspecting, and estimating structural systems for industrial projects. You will work under supervision, support interdisciplinary teams, and contribute to projects at various stages of the procurement cycle.

Primary Responsibilities

• Use CAD software to produce preliminary and construction deliverables with the engineering team
• Knowledge of 3‑D modeling, especially REVIT, an asset
• Perform field measurements in an industrial plant or outdoor sites
• Conduct structural inspections for industrial projects
• Design for concrete, steel, and other industrial structures
• Estimate and prepare engineering proposals
• Ensure projects are on task, on budget and on schedule

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering Technician or Technologist Diploma
• 8+ years of experience in an industrial structural design capacity
• Self‑motivation and strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Commitment to client service that is second to none
• Highly organized with a flexible approach to work assignments
• Proven passion for the profession and results‑driven practices
• Knowledge of Canadian codes and standards
• Integrity, team spirit, and commitment to excellence
