Job summary

Lycopodium Americas is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer in Mississauga, ON to provide technical leadership in structural design and project delivery. You will lead design/drafting coordination, perform design calculations, and ensure compliance with industry standards across concrete and steel structures.

Ideal candidates have a degree in structural engineering, PEng in Ontario, and 8+ years in mining or heavy industrial settings, with strong client engagement and team leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in mining, minerals processing or heavy industrial environments.
• PEng Ontario licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate structural designs and drawings (concrete, steel, foundations).
• Perform engineering design calculations and interpret drawings, specs, and scopes.
• Ensure timely delivery of designs within schedules and budgets.
• Conduct and support design reviews for codes and standards.
• Collaborate with drafting team to enable efficient drawing production.
• Manage vendor and procurement inputs, including tender evaluations and technical recommendations.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and deliverables (scopes of work, specifications, material take-offs).
• Support project delivery and team performance through stakeholder collaboration, mentoring, and documentation control.
