Job summary

WSP in New Brunswick is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead the design of steel and concrete structures for major industrial facilities. You will mentor engineers, conduct technical reviews, and sign off calculations in line with provincial requirements.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil/Structural Engineering degree, a NB or ON P.Eng license, and have industrial/mining sector experience. Occasional site travel and cross-disciplinary collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• P.Eng license in NB or ON.
• Experience in industrial/mining structural design.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced analysis and the design of steel and concrete structures for major industrial facilities.
• Mentor intermediate and junior engineers and designers.
• Sign and seal calculations and technical documents per provincial requirements.
• Perform technical reviews, validate structural models, and guide engineering decisions.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients and participate in strategic meetings.
• Contribute to planning, cost estimating, risk management, and service offerings development.
• Conduct key site visits and oversee construction reviews.
• Support multidisciplinary coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
