Job summary

Torus Talent is seeking a Senior Civil Structural Engineer for a Calgary office supporting a diverse portfolio of heavy industrial projects across Canada and the US. You will lead structural design and analysis, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and driving technical leadership throughout project execution.

The role emphasizes design of structural steel and reinforced concrete foundations, with opportunities to mentor junior engineers and advance project coordination skills in oil & gas,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• P.Eng. or eligible for registration.
• 6-10+ years of structural engineering experience in EPC or consulting.
• Experience designing structural steel and reinforced concrete foundations.
• Knowledge of Canadian structural design codes.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary projects and client-facing work.
• Experience with structural analysis software such as S-Frame.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design and analysis for heavy industrial facilities.
• Complete engineering calculations per codes and standards.
• Coordinate designs with related engineering disciplines.
• Prepare layouts, sketches, calculations, specs, and reports.
• Review drawings and respond to RFIs during construction.
• Provide support through detailed design and construction.
• Prepare construction cost estimates and documentation.
• Coordinate deliverables from concept to detailed engineering.
• Develop and maintain client relationships; mentor juniors.
• Support project management on smaller projects.
