Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Structural Designer in Vancouver to develop 3D structural models and 2D drawings for concrete and steel structures. You will collaborate across disciplines, ensuring quality and accuracy in built environment projects.

You will join a team that values technical excellence, mentorship, and opportunities to lead with integrity while navigating hybrid in-office collaboration three days per week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in structural design and 3D modeling for concrete and steel structures
• Associate or higher degree in automated drawing or civil/structural engineering technology
• Experience in construction is an asset
• Strong English communication skills (oral and written)
• Proficient with Revit, AutoCAD 3D, and related BIM tools

Responsibilities

• Create 3D structural models using Revit and AutoCAD
• Prepare 2D packages from the design models
• Develop General Arrangement and detailed drawings for concrete and steel structures
• Collaborate with disciplines and project engineering teams
• Produce drawings with appropriate scales and details
• Mentor junior designers through projects
