Job summary

Trans Mountain Corporation seeks a Senior Purchasing Specialist, Pacific Link, on a contract basis to lead sourcing and procurement for critical project materials and equipment. You will drive purchasing strategy, manage supplier performance, and ensure governance and compliance across complex packages.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Logistics teams, coordinate Indigenous, local and domestic participation, and mentor procurement stakeholders to deliver on Pacific Link

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce or related field.
• SCMP designation or progress toward it is an asset.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in supply chain management, purchasing, procurement or related field.
• Experience leading sourcing events and managing PO for long-lead equipment, materials, fabrication or assemblies.
• Knowledge of supplier capacity, fabrication environments, market pressures and domestic/international sourcing considerations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute purchasing strategies and plans for assigned equipment, materials, fabrication and assemblies.
• Coordinate bidder communications and evaluations across technical, quality, schedule and commercial aspects.
• Draft, negotiate and finalize purchase orders, amendments and related documentation.
• Manage supplier relationships, expedite and delivery, and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align purchasing activities and secure required approvals.
