Job Title: Senior Staff Accountant - Audit Focused

Location: Niagara Region, ON
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: $60,000 - $75,000/yr
Our client in Niagara Region, ON is actively looking for a Senior Staff Accountant - Audit Focused to join their team.

Position Description:

  • Lead audit engagements and mentor junior staff, fostering growth and expertise.
  • Assist clients with their financial reporting needs, building strong, collaborative relationships.
  • Ensure financial statements comply with GAAP and CAS, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Identify and resolve financial irregularities, using critical thinking to connect the dots.
  • Communicate complex financial insights clearly, both in writing and in discussions with clients and team members.
  • Prepare and review complex year-end financial statements, Compilations, Reviews, and Audits, ensuring compliance and precision.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred).
  • 3-4 years of experience in public accounting with a strong audit focus.
  • CPA designation (or actively pursuing CPA).
  • Detail-oriented, results-driven, and skilled at multitasking.
  • A natural leader with strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for mentoring.
