Senior Specialist, Talent Management (HR Business Partner)

As a national charity, we invest in initiatives to benefit children in Canada and globally, supporting Precision Child Health (PCH) to tailor medicine to each child's unique traits.

Position Overview: As Senior Specialist, HR Business Partner, you will be the primary partner for designated client groups, providing support, advice, and strategic guidance across all employee experience areas. Your responsibilities include performance and succession planning, recruitment, compensation, change management, and organizational design, supporting both daily needs and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with client groups and understand their goals and culture.
  • Utilize HR metrics to identify risks and opportunities, influencing outcomes proactively.
  • Advise leaders on workforce development, team effectiveness, and organizational growth.
  • Champion EDI practices in hiring, promotion, and development.
  • Support talent programs such as performance management, compensation reviews, and employee development.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, developing sourcing strategies and ensuring inclusive hiring practices.
  • Provide advice on employee relations, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution.
  • Support organizational change, restructuring, and effectiveness improvements.
  • Lead or contribute to strategic HR projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of HR experience supporting multiple HR functions.
  • Experience in recruitment, employee relations, and talent initiatives.
  • Deep knowledge of performance management, succession planning, and compensation.
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills.
  • Ability to analyze HR data and guide decisions.
  • Effective project management and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent written communication.
  • CHRL designation or in progress is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits: Salary range $81,251 - $101,566, with potential to reach $116,803, based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include health and dental coverage, flexible work options, and a 35-hour work week.
