United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Software Engineer for Application Development to join a DevSecOps team. You will participate in the full SDLC of a large-scale, highly available distributed payment system.

The role emphasizes secure coding, performance tuning, and collaboration across stakeholders to sustain growth. Requires strong communication and a customer-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in high-performance distributed application development.
• Proficiency in Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, Node.js.
• Proficient with Git, GitHub, Copilot, CI/CD pipelines.
• Secure coding principles and vulnerability patterns.
• Linux internals and production troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Software Engineer Application Development

What does a successful Application Developer Software Engineer do

You will work in a dynamic DevSecOps team involved in full SDLC of application development to support a largescale highly available distributed payment system. We need your technical expertise analytical ability critical thinking clear communication eagerness to collaborate customer first mindset and passion to sustain our growth. Enjoy working with a team of professionals who highly appreciate an open constructive and innovative atmosphere.

In this role you can look forward to

Your main job duties are

Requirement analysis collaborate with business partners to identify analyze and document use cases and technical requirements

Design develop implement solutions to meet business and security requirements

Unit and integration test build test cases into pipelines

Code scanning and fix collaborate with application security teams to perform various code scanning static dynamic penetration opensource component dependencies and fix any revealed vulnerabilities

Ongoing impact analysis of various security and industry standards policies procedures and update applications accordingly

Solving tracking problems escalated to us

Produce technical specifications user manuals configuration dictionaries when needed

Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders throughout project lifecycles

Keep documentation up to date

Basic Qualifications for Consideration

Candidates must meet ALL of these to be considered

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or equivalent working experience.

5 years of experience in software development with a focus on high performance distributed application development.

Proficiency in Java CC Python JavaScript Nodejs

Proficient with git GitHub copilot CICD pipeline

Master secure coding principles and common patterns of vulnerabilities

Deep understanding of Linux internals including processes threads memory management file systems networking signals IPC mechanisms and performance diagnostics Comfortable troubleshooting production issues using native Linux tools.

Demonstrated ability to effectively incorporate AI assisted development workflows while maintaining strong engineering judgement code review disciplines security awareness and software quality standards

Practices test first development and treat automated testing as a core engineering discipline other than an afterthought

Deep understanding of RESTful HTTP JSON to construct systems composed of distributed components

Strong experience with SQL, NoSQL databases and ORMs

Master cryptography basics TLSv13 knowledge of postquantum algorithms

Experience in authentication authorization standards like OAuth 20 and JWT

Experience in Web development with a relevant framework Spring, Spring Boot, Apache, Tomcat and a frontend framework React Angular

Strong problem solving analytical thinking always ready to collaborate self driven detail oriented

effective oral and written communication ability to keep documentation clear concise comprehensive and up to date.

Preferred Nice to Have

Knowledge in containerization and common cloud platforms eg AWS GCP

Comfortable working with OpenSSL and troubleshooting with tools like Wireshark

Practical experience in diagrams as code type of tools eg Plant UML Mermaid etc

Knowledgeable in PCIDSS PCISSF standards

Compensation range: $108,925.00 to $126,703.00 per year
