Job summary

CMHC is seeking an experienced Azure Developer to design, build, and support cloud-native integrations and applications powering CMHC’s enterprise platforms. This role requires strong hands-on experience with Azure services, .NET development, serverless architectures, and modern DevOps practices, with leadership skills to guide decisions and mentor others.

You will collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into secure, scalable cloud solutions and support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience designing, implementing, testing, and deploying Azure cloud solutions.
• Experience as a subject matter expert providing technical guidance and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Be CMHC’s leading expert on Azure cloud solutions and mentor other developers.
• Design and maintain Azure-based middleware integrations for secure data exchange.
• Build backend integrations using Azure Functions, Logic Apps and .NET/C#.
• Integrate Azure with Dynamics 365, APIs and third-party systems.
• Implement automated workflows, data pipelines, and CI/CD with Azure DevOps.
• Manage deployments to Azure environments and monitoring tools.
• Ensure secure, reliable deployments with automated testing and gates.

About The Role

Join the Technology and Business Transformation team as part of the Software Engineering – Microsoft Azure group, in the Senior Specialist, Software Engineering position, where the next generation of cloud-based solutions is being built to enable CMHC’s mission.

We are looking for an experienced Azure Developer to design, build, and support cloud native integrations and applications that power our enterprise platforms. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Azure services, .NET development, serverless architectures, and modern DevOps practices, along with the leadership skills to guide technical decisions and mentor others.

You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into secure, scalable cloud solutions while supporting continuous improvement across CMHC’s systems.

What You’ll Do

• Be CMHC’s leading expert on Azure cloud solutions, while also guiding and advising other developers in their work by providing mentoring, coaching and knowledge sharing.
• Design and maintain Azure based middleware integrations that enable secure an reliable data exchange across enterprise systems.
• Build backend integrations using Azure Function Apps, Logic Apps, and .NET (C#), following event driven and serverless architecture patterns.
• Integrate Azure solutions with Dynamics 365, APIs, and third party systems.
• Implement automated workflows, API integrations, and data processing pipelines using Azure serverless offerings.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Repos, Artifacts, YAML).
• Manage deployments to Azure environments, including configuration of App Services, Function Apps, Key Vault, API Management, and monitoring tools.
• Ensure secure, reliable, and efficient deployments through automated testing, validation gates, and build/deployment automation.

What You Should Have

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
• At least 10+ years of experience designing, implementing, testing, and deploying Azure cloud solutions, C# .NET including integrations and serverless components.
• A demonstrated experience as a Subject Matter Expert, providing technical guidance and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge, and to foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
• Strong hands-on experience developing serverless integrations and workflows using:

• Azure Functions
• Azure Logic Apps
• Azure App Services
• Azure Storage, Service Bus, Key Vault, or other Azure PaaS components
• Strong proficiency in .NET and C# for building backend and integration components.
• A solid understanding of cloud architecture principles, including scalability, load balancing, and distributed systems.
• The ability to establish, document, and apply development best practices, including coding standards and secure design.
• An experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and deployment automation.

It Would Be Great If You Also Had

• Microsoft Azure Certifications.
• Some experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O.
