Senior Specialist, IT Service Management

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Specialist, IT Service Management (ITSM) to provide expertise in the analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform. The role involves acting as the main liaison between BDO IT, ServiceNow, and the ITSM integrator, translating business needs into technical solutions, and supporting the IT strategy through budgeting, forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise in ServiceNow platform management and configuration.
  • Ensure alignment of ServiceNow initiatives with BDO’s strategic roadmap.
  • Act as a liaison between internal teams, ServiceNow, and ITSM partners.
  • Translate business requirements into technical deliverables, including workflows, modules, and integrations.
  • Document changes and ensure compliance with platform standards.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning for ITSM tools.
  • Stay informed on industry trends to inform decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvement in ITSM processes and tools.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
  • ServiceNow CSA / CIS certification, ITIL v3 Foundation certification, with experience in ITSM frameworks.
  • Minimum 3 years of ServiceNow development and platform management experience.
  • Strong scripting skills, especially in Java.
  • Knowledge of networks and ITILv3-based ITSM processes.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and time management skills.
