Job summary

FCC in Ottawa is seeking a Senior Special Credit Account Manager to stabilize financial positions in the agriculture and food sector. You will handle complex, high-risk files, negotiate with stakeholders, and craft viable recovery strategies while protecting FCC's interests.

You will leverage deep knowledge of commercial lending, financial analysis and debt restructuring, and you will coach credit teams. Hybrid work and a competitive rewards package are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, agricultural finance or related field.
• Minimum seven years of relevant experience in commercial credit or complex account management.
• Extensive knowledge of commercial lending and recovery practices.
• Proven expertise in financial analysis, negotiation and restructuring of complex files.
• Strong understanding of credit laws and recovery practices.
• Proficiency with computer tools and software applications.
• Proven experience providing coaching and mentorship.

How you'll make an impact

Leverage your expertise in loan restructuring and managing complex accounts to help stabilize the financial situation of customers in the agriculture and food industry who are facing significant challenges.

As Senior Special Credit Account Manager, you'll manage some of the most complex and high-risk files. Drawing on your strong understanding of commercial lending practices and financial analysis, you'll develop realistic solutions, negotiate with multiple stakeholders and minimize potential losses.

What you'll bring to the team

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, agricultural finance or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Minimum seven years of relevant experience in commercial credit or complex account management
• Extensive knowledge of commercial lending and recovery practices
• Proven expertise in financial analysis, negotiation and restructuring of complex files
• Strong understanding of credit laws and recovery practices
• Proficiency with computer tools and software applications
• Proven experience providing coaching and mentorship

Preferred qualifications

• Experience working with customers in the agribusiness, food or agricultural production sectors
• Experience collaborating with external stakeholders such as solicitors, bankruptcy trustees or receivers
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex environment
