Job summary

XYZ Reality is building the next generation of wearable AI for construction, blending 3D vision, spatial AI and BIM understanding. The Senior AI / Computer Vision Engineer will own perception pipelines, train large models, and optimize deployment on embedded platforms for field use.

The role sits at the intersection of research and production, collaborating with Navigation, Embedded Software, Hardware and Product teams in Calgary to advance perception, localization and quality assessment on real

Qualifications

Deep expertise in 3D computer vision and spatial AI with production deployment experience.
Experience with semantic segmentation, object detection and large-scale models.
Proficient Python and PyTorch; strong math foundations.
Bridge research and production engineering; turn research into robust tech.

Responsibilities

Develop advanced computer vision algorithms for construction scene understanding.
Design and develop semantic segmentation, object detection and instance segmentation models.
Build algorithms for understanding 3D environments, spatial relationships and geometry.
Develop automated BIM correspondence and object-matching capabilities.
Create perception systems for installation state, construction progress and quality issues.
Develop data pipelines for supervised, self-supervised and semi-supervised learning.
Deploy and optimise models for embedded deployment on wearables.
