Job summary

TechDoQuest is seeking a Senior Technical Design Specialist to lead the design and delivery of complex technology solutions. You will provide technical leadership across architects, engineers, and security teams, translating business needs into robust designs.

The role focuses on cloud-native architectures, containers, orchestration, microservices, and adherence to security and privacy standards. Strong collaboration and GO-ITS governance awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as Technical Designer, Solution Designer, or Technical Architect.
• Cloud, containers, orchestration, and microservices experience.
• Healthcare FHIR knowledge advantageous.
• Experience with CI/CD, Agile, and Azure DevOps/VSTS.
• Collaboration with security and privacy SMEs in regulated environments.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication.
• Familiarity with Visio, SharePoint, and MS Office.
• Understanding GO-ITS standards is a plus.

Technical Design Specialist/ Solutions Designer Senior

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, enhancement, and implementation of complex, large-scale, high-risk technology solutions.
• Provide technical leadership to development teams and collaborate with architects, business analysts, infrastructure, security, and privacy teams.
• Design cloud-based solutions using containerization, orchestration, and microservices.
• Translate business and functional requirements into application and technical designs and create detailed low-level design artifacts.
• Support solution testing, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Ensure solutions meet security, privacy, architecture, and enterprise technology standards.

Must Have:

• Strong experience as a Technical Designer, Solution Designer, Technical Architect, or similar role.
• Experience with cloud, containers, orchestration, and microservices.
• Working knowledge of Healthcare FHIR and healthcare data exchange standards.
• Experience with CI/CD, Agile, and Azure DevOps/VSTS.
• Experience working with security architects and privacy SMEs, preferably in healthcare or regulated environments.
• Strong technical leadership, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Experience with Visio, SharePoint, and MS Office.
• Knowledge of GO-ITS standards and enterprise architecture governance is an asset.
