Job summary

Amazon Web Services Canada is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to lead credible technical guidance, architect end-to-end cloud solutions, and partner with senior customer leaders, sales, and AWS teams to shape long-term technology strategy.

You will design architectures for migrations and modernization, deliver workshops and prototypes, and help customers adopt new technologies, while advocating for product improvement and building reusable assets across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• Deep technical expertise across cloud architecture, data & analytics, AI/ML, software development, security, and networking.
• Familiarity with modern architectural patterns such as microservices, serverless, and event-driven systems.

AWS Canada drives adoption of the AWS cloud across Independent Software Vendors (ISV) customers, enabling organizations to innovate and transform their business. We are seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to serve as a credible technical leader and strategic advisor, helping customers architect solutions to complex business and technology challenges.

In this role, you will partner with senior customer leaders, sales, and cross-functional AWS teams to influence long-term technology strategy and accelerate transformational cloud adoption. You will design end-to-end architectures, lead cross-team solution delivery, and create reusable assets that benefit customers across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications

• Deep technical expertise across multiple domains (cloud architecture, data & analytics, AI/ML, software development, security, networking)
• Familiarity with modern architectural patterns such as microservices, serverless, and event-driven systems
• For Quebec location: fluency in French and English is required

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Extensive hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Proven track record of creating reusable technical assets (reference architectures, frameworks, code samples, automation tools)
• Experience designing and implementing complex AI/ML solutions, including generative AI, agentic applications, MLOps patterns, and RAG architectures
• Experience with scripting, automation, and software development in multiple languages (Python, JavaScript, Java, etc.)

Compensation

Base salary: $146,000 – $211,600 CAD annually (Vancouver and Montreal). Total compensation may include sign-on payments and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Benefits include health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, basic life and AD&D), RRSP, DPSP, paid time off, and wellness resources.

5+ years of experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures; deep technical expertise across cloud architecture, data and analytics, AI/ML, software development, security, and networking; familiarity with microservices, serverless, and event-driven architectural patterns; French and English fluency required for Quebec location
