Position Description

Bridgenext is seeking a skilled and driven Data Architect to play a key role in shaping our data infrastructure. In this position, you’ll work independently on high-impact initiatives, designing and optimizing data pipelines that power seamless data flow across systems. Your expertise will also be critical in fine-tuning database performance to support our growing portfolio of innovative projects.

You will be part of team which will have on-call duties and would need to respond to high priority incident pager.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Monitor and analyze database performance and ensure effective and efficient utilization of database systems/processes
• Expertise with analyzing long running queries (SQL and NoSQL) and make recommendations on rewriting queries, indexes, statistics and infrastructure
• Expertise in reviewing execution plans and pinning the efficient execution plan, if needed during high priority incidents
• Develop and debug stored procedures, views, etc.
• Data modelling, and designing data orchestration to build reporting database
• Perform analysis, build scripts to execute data backfills in database/tables (SQL and NoSQL) to hydrate data as needed
• You will be part of team having on-call duties and respond to high priority incident pager

Workplace:or Remote based in US or Canada with willingness and ability to travel to Atlanta, GA for meetings/workshops once per quarter

Must Have Skills:

• 7+ years of practical experience building and supporting Azure SQL databasesand NoSQL databases
• Subject matter expert on performance tuning for SQL and NoSQL queries
• Proven track record of collaborating with dev teams to build reporting/data aggregating systems
• Good exposure to Kafka or equivalent streaming services

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with scripting languages
• Exposure to terraform
• Exposure to logistics industry
