Job summary

General Motors is seeking a skilled engineer to develop and implement vehicle modeling simulations for ECUs, actuators, and chassis components. The role requires strong Python/C++ skills and experience with Matlab/Simulink and System ID studies.

You will collaborate with GM experts to validate models and optimize code for long-term maintainability and performance. The position supports hybrid work with onsite requirements for nearby hubs and a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• A bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related area.
• Expertise in vehicle system modeling and simulation (powertrain, suspension, steering, brakes, chassis controls, etc.)
• Strong programming skills in Python and C/C++
• Experience with Matlab/Simulink, System ID studies, model validation, and data analysis.

Candidates can be considered anywhere in the country of work, but if someone is within 80 KM of a hub, they are required to be onsite 3 days a week.

Your Skills and Abilities

• Experience with Matlab/Simulink, System ID studies, model validation, and data analysis.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $ 115,000 to $ 164,600. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
