Job summary

Lockheed Martin Corporation in Ottawa seeks a Senior Software Engineer who blends hands-on development with team leadership. You will guide project execution, mentor junior engineers, and drive agile practices across the software lifecycle.

The role requires two days per week in the office to collaborate with stakeholders and cross‑functional teams, and you will deliver secure software for submarine fleet programs using JavaScript/CSS/HTML, Docker, Kubernetes, and modern tooling.

Qualifications

• Degree in software engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years general development experience; JAVA & HTML/JS/CSS preferred.
• Experience with Docker/Podman and Kubernetes.
• Proven leadership of Agile/Scrum software development practices.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Eligible to obtain NATO Secret clearance.
• Strong planning, scheduling, and status reporting abilities.
• Ability to communicate complex topics clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead agile software development teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Guide project execution and translate business goals into technical plans.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to track progress and risks.
• Ensure compliance with security and coding standards.
• Participate in all stages of the software lifecycle.
