Job summary

Thales Canada in Ottawa is seeking a Software Developer to build robust, high-performance software for defence and security applications. The role focuses on designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting data processing pipelines that handle Digital Fleet data for naval platforms.

The successful candidate will collaborate with analysts, architects, and engineers, applying secure coding practices and modern integration patterns.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience.
• 3 years of Python programming.
• Experience with communications/interfaces and JSON/XML.
• SQL and NoSQL database experience.
• Containerization with Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, test, and deploy production-quality software for data processing pipelines.
• Analyze datasets and define processing rules; integrate systems via REST APIs, databases, files, queues.
• Ensure data integrity, security and traceability; support deployment and maintenance.
