PayByPhone in Vancouver, BC is seeking a Senior Software Developer to build major components powering our consumer apps and global platform. You will design, implement, and maintain services that enable millions to pay for parking with speed and security.

You will mentor teammates, participate in code reviews, and help improve CI/CD, testing, and observability while collaborating with product management and client services in a hybrid, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in agile environments (Kanban or Scrum).
• Proficient in automated unit testing with interest in TDD/BDD.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles.
• Keeps up with new technologies and improves status quo.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement major components powering consumer apps and a global platform.
• Mentor team members and participate in code reviews to ensure quality.
• Develop automated test suites and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with product management and client services to scope work and acceptance criteria.
• Monitor health of services and investigate outages, ensuring PCI compliance.
• Lead technical decisions and share knowledge across teams.
