Job summary

ATS Industrial Automation seeks a software engineer to design and implement custom software for test systems across multiple industries. You will develop in C#/.NET and C/C++ for microcontroller targets, and design SCADA solutions using LabVIEW, Python or ATS tools.

Collaboration with customers and teams is essential, with travel up to 25% during integration and installation. The role requires strong OO programming skills, clear documentation and the ability to deliver fully functional systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, software, electrical or computer engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience in production systems.
• Experience with SCADA/MES systems and real‑time data acquisition.
• Strong knowledge of C#/.NET and C/C++ in industrial environments.
• Experience with LabVIEW, Python, and IoT device programming is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop C#/.NET code for Test Executive and SAMS software products.
• Develop C/C++ for microcontroller targets (Arduino, Raspberry Pi) and remote IoT devices.
• Design/implement SCADA using ATS Test software, LabVIEW or Python with PLC/instrumentation integration.
• Debug and commission on shop floor and customer sites during installations.
• Collaborate with customers, project managers and engineering teams to deliver complete systems.
• Document code with clear, high‑level structure and reusable design patterns.
• Provide customer training on operation, programming principles, and system structure.
• Travel up to 25% as needed.
