In this role you can work from Remote, Canada
As a software engineer on GitHub’s Ecosystem Events team, you will build and operate the webhooks platform that powers third‑party integrations and many of GitHub’s flagship products. You will work with a distributed team of engineers on the event‑driven systems developers use to integrate with GitHub.
In this role, you will design, implement, ship, and support improvements to our webhook services and APIs. You will improve how the platform handles growing traffic, investigate delivery problems, and make our services easier to operate. Our tech stack is primarily Go and Ruby. We work closely with the teams responsible for databases, queues, networking, and compute infrastructure to deliver webhooks reliably at scale.
We are looking for engineers who enjoy solving distributed systems problems and care about the developers who depend on our events and integrations. Our team works remotely and relies on clear written communication and asynchronous collaboration.
