Job summary

Fortinet in Canada is seeking a proactive full-stack engineer to help build FortiClient EMS and FortiClient Cloud. You will own features end-to-end across front and back ends in a fast-moving team.

You will design microservices, optimize performance, and collaborate across Linux, networking, and cloud deployment with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm. The role emphasizes ownership, architecture thinking, and delivering complete, high-quality code with strong initiative.

Qualifications

• Experience with Python, Go and modern frontend frameworks.
• Production experience with Django, FastAPI or Flask.
• Production experience with Kubernetes, Docker and Helm.
• RESTful APIs design and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MS SQL).
• Strong Linux troubleshooting across server, network and web layers (NGINX, TLS).

Responsibilities

• EMS & Cloud feature development across frontend and backend.
• Design and lead individual projects with full technical ownership.
• Write and manage microservices architecture for performance and cloud deployments.
• Identify bottlenecks, optimize databases and container environments.
• Collaborate across teams to unblock issues and improve CI/CD.
