Raytheon UK is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to design and build software at Gloucester, with onsite/hybrid work (min 3 days on site). The role requires eligibility for SC and eDV clearance and involves leading technical direction within a SCRUM team.

The position covers Cyber projects across UK facilities and offers a competitive salary and benefits package, with early Fridays and flexible working options depending on role and site.

Qualifications

• Core software engineering with JavaScript/TypeScript/Python or Java.
• REST API development using OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Cloud services experience (AWS or Azure).
• Containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, Ansible).
• Relational databases (PostgreSQL).
• Elasticsearch/OpenSearch experience.
• Unit testing/automation (Mocha, Jest, Cypress).
• Experience in an Agile delivery team.
