Job summary

Electronic Arts is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in the Animation team to develop core animation systems and the tools used by content creators. You will collaborate with engineers, artists, and designers to turn creative concepts into playable features and improve runtime performance.

You will mentor junior engineers and work across platforms, contributing to high-quality, immersive gameplay experiences in a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong programming skills to improve and debug C++ and C# code.
  • Experience with 3D math, including transforms, rotations, and coordinate systems.
  • Experience in game engine development.
  • Performance and memory profiling.
  • Experience with concurrent programming models.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Take ownership of animation features from technical design through to production, testing, and multi-platform support.

Our Animation team oversees the core platform that animation technologies across AAA games are built upon. As part of our team, you will handle a variety of rewarding engineering challenges-from improving user workflows for content creators to optimizing real-time runtime performance. As a Senior Software Engineer in the Animation team, you will report to the Development Director in Animation. You’ll work on core animation systems that run in-game, as well as the tools and workflows used by content creators to build and author animation data.

This role is Hybrid remote/in-office.

You Will

  • Experience targeting console platforms (PlayStation, Xbox)
