Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking a Senior Software Developer for the OTTO Fleet Core team in Kitchener, ON. Hybrid work arrangement with responsibilities spanning feature development, testing, and maintenance of OTTO Fleet Manager software used by customers to operate autonomous vehicle fleets.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of software development experience, strong OO skills in C++/Python and C#, and experience with APIs, containers, databases, and observability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
• Typically requires minimum of 5 years of related experience (software development).
• 3+ years of relevant software development experience.
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming with C++ or Python; experience with C#.

Responsibilities

• Develop reliable software features for OTTO Fleet Manager and related applications.
• Translate product and technical requirements into practical, maintainable software solutions through iterative development.
• Contribute to product priorities such as data-backed workflows, integrations, supportability improvements, and test automation.
• Collaborate with software developers, product partners, and other engineering teams to deliver customer-focused features and improvements.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities.
