Job summary

Moomoo Canada Financial Inc. in Toronto is seeking a hands-on Senior Software Engineer to join our global fintech engineering team.

You will design scalable architectures and deliver high-quality backend services for brokerage and financial platforms. You’ll collaborate with teams across North America and China, leverage AI-assisted development tools, and own projects from technical design through production deployment while upholding reliability and security.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong backend development in Java, C++, Go, Python or similar.
• Proven experience designing and building complex distributed backend systems.
• Solid knowledge of software architecture and scalable designs.
• AI-assisted software development experience.
• Experience across North America and China collaborations.
• Hands-on coding with ownership from design to production.
• Familiarity with AI coding tools and AI-native practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend systems.
• Own technical design and implement complex capabilities.
• Participate in architecture design with scalability and security in mind.
• Build backend services for brokerage and financial use cases.
• Identify bottlenecks and drive improvements.
• Write clean, tested production code.
• Conduct code reviews and uphold engineering standards.
• Collaborate with Product, Risk, Compliance, Operations and other teams.
• Work with Shenzhen-based teams on design and delivery.
• Use AI-assisted tools across the development lifecycle.
• Improve engineering productivity with AI-native practices.
