At Anaplan, we are looking for a strong Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Toronto, Canada, as a member of a global engineering organization across the US, UK, Israel, and India.

Your Impact :

• Software Development : Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable and efficient software applications.
• Technical Leadership : Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. Assist in establishing best practices and coding standards.
• Architectural Design : Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to define system architecture and requirements for new features.
• Code Reviews & Quality Assurance : Conduct thorough code reviews, ensuring code quality, efficiency, and adherence to company standards. Advocate for clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UX / UI designers, and other engineers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Problem-Solving : Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues in development and production environments.
• Continuous Improvement : Stay current with the latest technologies and best practices. Contribute to process improvements and participate in team discussions regarding technical strategies.
• Deployment & Maintenance : Manage deployment pipelines, monitor application performance, and ensure systems are robust and scalable.

Your Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering or a similar role.
• Strong experience with web frameworks (e.g., Vue / Angular or React) and RESTful API design.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure).
• Solid understanding of database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and performance optimization techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to break down complex tasks into manageable solutions.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and continuous integration / deployment pipelines.
• Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
• Experience in a leadership or mentorship role within an engineering team.
• Exposure to machine learning or AI technologies.
• Contributed to open-source projects or have a portfolio of personal projects demonstrating technical expertise.
