At Anaplan, we are looking for a strong Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Toronto, Canada, as a member of a global engineering organization across the US, UK, Israel, and India.

Your Impact:

  • Software Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable and efficient software applications.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. Assist in establishing best practices and coding standards.
  • Architectural Design: Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to define system architecture and requirements for new features.
  • Code Reviews & Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough code reviews, ensuring code quality, efficiency, and adherence to company standards. Advocate for clean, maintainable, and testable code.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UX/UI designers, and other engineers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues in development and production environments.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with the latest technologies and best practices. Contribute to process improvements and participate in team discussions regarding technical strategies.
  • Deployment & Maintenance: Manage deployment pipelines, monitor application performance, and ensure systems are robust and scalable.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as .Net, C#, JavaScript/Typescript.
  • Strong experience with web frameworks (e.g., Vue/Angular or React) and RESTful API design.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure).
  • Solid understanding of database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and performance optimization techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to break down complex tasks into manageable solutions.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and continuous integration/deployment pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Experience in a leadership or mentorship role within an engineering team.
  • Exposure to machine learning or AI technologies.
  • Contributed to open-source projects or have a portfolio of personal projects demonstrating technical expertise.
