About the Team

Join as an engineer to help drive and build best in class user experiences for the Workday Help product. Workday Help provides AI-driven HR Service Delivery built to enable employee self-service & drive HR efficiency within Workday. The teams help to deliver a native knowledge base that empowers our customers to create, categorize, maintain, track, and secure articles as well as a case management system which enables employees to get help by creating cases and where case solvers can triage, manage, and resolve cases.

About the Role

This is an opportunity to join as a Senior Software Development Engineer working on the Workday Help product, one of the newer products built within Workday on a team that values engineering excellence and aims to focus on sound architecture, quality and building the right things, the right way. We frequently work with our customers, Product Manager, UX, QA, Automation and design to identify solutions that will solve the problems our customers face and find product market fit.

As part of the team you will:

• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to other team members

• Use your technical expertise to contribute towards building a best-in-class product

• Set your team up for success by helping identify and remove technical obstacles

• Be a strong advocate for the development process, engineering best practices, quality and culture of continuous improvement

• Contribute to technical requirements, architecture, and help drive UX / design direction

• Bond with your team to build and maintain a strong engineering culture

About You

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience leading, designing and implementing scalable enterprise software, components, frameworks, web applications

• 5+ years of experience and strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design and Programming, data modeling, structures, and algorithms (Kotlin/Java preferred)

• 2+ years of experience with React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, RESTful APIs, and modern front-end frameworks (React preferred

Other Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

• Familiar with virtualization technologies such as Docker or VMware, and build technologies such as Webpack, Gradle and Jenkins

• Experience with XO (Workday inhouse language)

• Experienced in working and collaborating with diverse teams in a dynamic, rapid growth environment using Scrum successfully

Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
