Job summary

Canadian Nuclear Laboratories is seeking a Full-time, on-site Software Engineer at Chalk River, Ontario. You will lead a small development team in the absence of the CTA-CSE Team-Leader, drive software development, and support client requirements while complying with security and licensing constraints.

You should bring 7–8 years of experience with MS SQL, web technologies, mobile scanner software, and multi‑platform development, plus strong communication and mentoring skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor (Honours) degree in Engineering or Science or membership in a recognized organization.
• 7–8 years of relevant experience in distributed applications, MS SQL, web tech, and multi-platform development.
• Strong knowledge of C#, C, C++, VB.NET and mobile scanner software integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day activities of a team of developers in the absence of the Team-Leader.
• Develop new software products and significant changes to existing ones.
• Support existing software per customer requirements and validate changes.
• Coordinate production deployments and software rollouts with testing guidance.
