Job summary

The WSIB is seeking a senior developer/architect to deliver enterprise-grade solutions using Microsoft Power Platform and SharePoint Online. You will contribute across Power Apps, Dataverse, Power Automate, Power BI, and AI Builder with Architecture, governance, and security in mind.

Responsibilities include leading projects, maintaining applications, collaborating with clients, and guiding vendors. A strong focus on Agile delivery, operations, and customer success is essential.

• Undergraduate degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics.

Job summary:

This position is responsible for delivering enterprise-grade solutions using Microsoft Power Platform and SharePoint Online within the Application Development and Services Branch. The role requires in-depth, hands‑on experience in solution development across Power Apps (Model-driven and Canvas applications), Dataverse, Power Automate, Power BI, and AI Builder, with the expectation that the candidate will be productive from day one.

The successful candidate will apply advanced skills in application design, technical systems analysis, solution architecture, development, implementation, transition to operations, production support, and ongoing maintenance of enterprise business applications and platform-based solutions. Strong knowledge of platform governance, ALM, security architecture, and best practices for scalable enterprise delivery is essential.

This position also requires proven experience with SharePoint Online architecture, solution development, and business-facing application support, as well as foundational knowledge of Copilot Studio and emerging AI capabilities and how they integrate with the Power Platform ecosystem. The role may involve working independently or as part of a team on large or complex assignments and may also require acting as a subject matter expert while guiding other professionals and vendor partners. A strong focus is placed on Agile delivery, client engagement, operational excellence, and timely resolution of issues across new and existing services. This position demands a high degree of independence, accountability, ownership, and commitment to customer success.

What You Will Do:

• Lead approved projects by creating detailed work plans, setting milestones, timelines, and identifying required skill sets.
• Support application and software maintenance, upgrades, implementations, and releases within the assigned environment.
• Monitor project progress, maintain regular contact with clients, and provide status reports to management to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Support production maintenance and implementation of Legacy mainframe, PeopleSoft ERP, and EPM applications.
• Provide timely client support and respond quickly to questions, requests, and system issues, including 24-hour on-call availability.
• Analyze, design, build, test, debug, and maintain technical processes and related documentation.
• Work with business users to define business processes and requirements, and translate functional requirements into technical designs and future-state documentation.
• Assist with business case development and help ensure applications support current and future business needs.
• Support application plans, information system architecture, investment priorities, and service delivery strategies aligned with business goals.
• Maintain deep knowledge of assigned technologies and provide specialized technical advice to staff, peers, and management.
• Collaborate with teams and support areas on system and database performance tuning and overall technical success.
• Develop and maintain operational procedures and regular reports on achievements, outstanding work, issues, and constraints.
• Identify and develop solutions that improve system reliability and availability in support of a 100% uptime target.

Job requirements:

Education

University completion at undergraduate level with a specialty focus in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

Experience
