Job summary

The Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) is hiring a Program Analyst, Operations Quality & Evaluation, to partner with Operations leadership and use data, reporting, and business intelligence tools to identify trends, measure performance, evaluate initiatives, and provide actionable recommendations that improve operational outcomes. This role blends technical analytics with business problem-solving.

As a Program Analyst, Operations Quality & Evaluation, you will serve as a trusted analytics partner to Operations leadership. You will use data, reporting, and business intelligence tools to identify trends, measure performance, evaluate initiatives, and provide actionable recommendations that improve operational outcomes and support informed decision-making.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical analytics skills with business problem-solving. You'll work with operational data, build dashboards and reports, automate processes, and help leaders understand what is happening in their business, why it's happening, and what actions they should consider next.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will:

• Analyze operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and emerging issues.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations that support decision-making.
• Provide insights and recommendations to management and senior leaders.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs and deliver data-driven solutions.

Technical Skills We Are Looking For

This role has a strong technical and analytical focus. Successful candidates will demonstrate experience with data analysis, reporting, visualization, and automation tools.

Required / Strongly Preferred

• Advanced Microsoft Excel
• Power BI (or equivalent business intelligence tools such as Tableau)
• Power Automate or other workflow automation tools
• SQL for querying, manipulating, and analyzing data
• Experience creating dashboards, KPI reporting, and performance metrics
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience translating complex data into meaningful business insights

Strong Assets

• Python, R, or similar programming languages
• Experience with statistical analysis and predictive analytics
• Experience with data modeling and report automation
• Experience working with large datasets from multiple systems
• Familiarity with SAS, SPSS, or comparable analytical software
